
Dave Egerton Big Band Concert back for a 13th year
with music from the last 100 years!
Thanks for the Memory is back again for a 13th year at Cranage Hall on Sunday 17th May 2026, with our concert running from 2pm to 5pm.
The concert is again hosted by the excellent Dave Egerton Band. With music from the early 1920’s to the Swing era; from Glenn Miller to the Beatles; Fred Astaire to Vera Lynn to Van Morrison; Frank Sinatra to The Temptations to the Beach Boys; from the Supremes to Amy Winehouse to Caro Emerald ….. and much, much more! Come along and sit back while they take you down memory lane.
This year we are joined by Cockney Carol. Cockney Carol has been entertaining for the last ten years. This London Lass from the Heart of Cheshire sings songs from Musical Hall to the 1970s with her trusted ukulele. So join her in a trip down memory lane. Enjoy singing along with her to some timeless classics.
This year we are supporting the Alzheimer’s Society and Bridge the Gap charity.
Bridge the Gap is an inspirational, intergenerational community action project based in Holmes Chapel that has been helping bring everyone together within a safe, welcoming environment for over 8 years.

This year we again have a guest appearance from comedian, Don Reid. Don has worked with many top stars including Russ Conway, Barbara Windsor, Ken Dodd, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Four Tops, Jack Jones and many more. He also headlined in Ken Dodd’s “Festival of Comedy” and music hall, both as principal comic and chairman. His TV credits include “The Comedians”, “New Faces”, “Up for the Cup”, “Boser”, “Late Night Live” and “Jamieson”. Don is a true traditional British comedian.
